Brown Bag Session: Can I Use This?
If you are preparing any kind of multimedia for your teaching, from PowerPoint slides to online videos, chances are you want to incorporate images, video clips, or other media from different sources. This session will focus on the pragmatic elements of reuse, the essentials of copyright, and the basics of working with Creative Commons and openly licensed materials. The session will provide information on UBC’s copyright context and guidelines, how to find openly-licensed images and other educational resources, and UBC tools to support open education. Feel free to bring your lunch to eat during this session!
